Gold Leaf and Rubber stamps

Well it has been a long time since I posted anything and I was on Facebook but they have changed the format and I can't get it to work so I am going to focus on my blog now. Here is my lasted project. I read an article a while back that show how to use gold leaf and rubber stamps, and I wanted to try it because I have had some gold leaf packages sitting around for ages. So here is the tutorial for using gold leaf and my card project. It is really hard to see just how rich the gold makes the card look but it was fun to do and I bought some more stamps to try.

Spring Layout

I finally found time to do the first part of a double 12x12 layout. I admit I scrap lifted the idea for the tree from a layout I say in Creating Keepsakes magazine, but I am happy with the way it turned out, now I just need to find time to finishe the 2nd 1/2.

Nestibilities

I discoved Spellbinders Nestibilities a couple of months ago and finally got a chance to create some cards. And I have decided I love them. On this card I used the Labels Four, the largest and smallest ones. I also used a Sure Cuts Alot file for the fence. I saw a paper punch by Martha Stewart that I really liked but didn't want to buy the punch so I found a SCAL file and it was perfect. And this is what turned out. I didn't know what I was going to use the card for so I left it blank. It will be easy to add a happy birthday or something later.  I love using all the different scrapbooking tools. I just wish I had more time. Doesn't everyone?!

Water Fight

I love to scrapbook but it just seems like the time goes by faster and faster and I don't get as much done as I would like. Here is a layout that I finally finished from last summer. My favorite subject is my kids and grandkids and when they are all home, you can count on fun things happening. I had alot of photos I wanted to share in this layout so I grouped them together, around the main photo. It was summer time, of course, so flowers are a natural thing to add. I cut out the flowers on my cricut as well as the lettering. To make the letters look wet I added some diamond glaze, love that stuff.
Have trouble storing all your ribbon? Is it a big mess stashed somewhere? Check out this video by cjaynie. I apologize but I didn't find any other identification. If you know her or where I can give credit, please let me know.

Joined the Crowd

Well I guess I have finally joined the crowd and started a blog for Chandler Creations. Hopefully, I can add projects and fun things I find on the web. Please feel free to add things you have done and find as well. Here is my first project for this blog. I attended a weeding for my friends son and needed a wedding card fast. I did copy the base design from another blogger, Shelly Watson, thank you Shelly, love the design. But changed a few things. My photo doesn't do it justice. I used the Sure Cuts Alot program, which I really love, and cut out the shadow letters then used glitter paper for the top of the letters.
